Quick Christmas cards

På höstens återförsäljarträff fick butikerna jobba hårt vid min station. Tre snabba julkort skulle skapas inom loppet av 1,5 timme. Mina "elever" slet så svetten lackade men ack å fina deras kort blev! Vi använde Reprints fina julpapper, både från Basic collection och dubbelsidiga 12 tumspapper - och så en massa fina dekorationer förstås.

I had the retailes work very hard at this autumn's event in Falkenberg. They had 1,5 hours to finish three Christmas cards. My "students" managed to create the most beautiful cards and made me so proud! We used the new papers from Reprint, both from the Basic Collection and from the double sided designpapers - and an awful lot of new decorations of course!

Den fina klipparksbilden ramas in av en fanérdekoration som passar perfekt i storlek. Fanérramen på bilden är infärgad med vit Distress paint, men vi upptäckte även att det blir supersnyggt att embossa, Vi testade både vitt, patina och guldfärgat pulver och alla blev superläckra.

The sweet image from one of the cut out sheets is framed by a perfectly fitted chipboard frame. The frame on the image is painted with white Distress Paint, but we also quickly discovered that a little embossing powder really makes them gorgeous, we tried both white, gold and platinum embossing powders.

Nästa kort har en lite mer shabby stil, med rivna, infärgade kanter som rullas upp för att visa det underliggande röda notpappret.

The next card is more of "shabby" look, with torn and distressed edges, rolled up to reveal the red sheet of notes underneith.

På det sista kortet lekte vi loss med embossingpulver. Vi gjorde en trippel embossing på chipboardhjärtan, det förta lagret görs med en valfri färg "vanligt" embossingpulver. Ovanpå det la vi två lager klar UTEE, och direkt efter det sista lagret smält så tryckte vi dit en stämpel. Det blir en härlig glasliknande effekt!

For the third and final card, we really went crazy bananas with embossing powders. We did a "trippel embossing" on chipboard hearts, where the first layer is made using any colour of embossing powder. Then follows two layers of clear UTEE, and in the same moment as the final layer melts, we quickly pressed down a stamp in the hot melted UTEE. This gives you the most amazing glass like effect!

Pine cone Christmas card

Det här kortet fick Reprints återförsäljare göra på "min" station på träffen förra helgen. Bakgrunden är gjord i omgångar - först en ljus bakgrund med hjälp av distress dynor och vatten på craft sheet, sedan både stämplade och embossade vi snöflingor med clear. Nästa lager använde vi mörkar distress dynor, och till sist färgade vi in kanterna med ytterligare en mörkare nyans.

This is the card that the retailers made at "my" station at the event last weekend. The background is made in different steps - first we created a light background with Distress ink pads and misted water. Then we stamped and embossed the snowflakes in clear. And the final layer is the same technique as the first layer, but with darker colours. And finally an even darker shade along the edges, with the Ink blending tool.

Kransen är gjord av tunna pappersband som man sträcker ut och snurrar upp så att de vecklas ut lite. Vi snurrade några varv band i en krans som fästes med röda brads. Kotten är gjord med en die från Sizzix.

The wreath is made from thin paper ribbon, stretched a bit so it folds out and goes a little more "flat". The wreath was then fastned with red brads, like berries. The pine cone is made using a die from Sizzix.

Det är lätt att tappa hoppet efter första steget i bakgrundsskapandet. Men gör inte det! När man lägger till mörkare nyanser och skapar kontrast mellan färgen på snöflingorna och resten av bakgrunden så blir det magiskt vackert!

Don't lose hope after the first couple of steps making the background! By adding more colour and creating a contrast between the light snow flakes and the darker background, you will create an astonishing effect!
