En liten fågel...

...behöver ett litet hus!
Jag hittade en sån söt liten mall på en fågelholk som jag kände att jag ville göra! Jag har använt mig av både mönstrad och enfärgad kartong. I två av dem trädde jag ett snöre i så att de kan hänga, den tredje sattes fast på en blompinne.
Som dekoration har Liquid Pearl och glitterlim använts, på kanten av taket och runt öppningen.

I found such a cute stencil on a bird house that I felt I wanted to do! I´ve used both patterned and single colored paper. Two of them I put a string in so that they could hang, the third was stuck on a stick.
Liquid Pearl and glitter glue have been used as decoration, on the edge of the roof and around the opening.

Jag hade inte en liten fågel att klippa ut, så det fick bli en fjäril... =) Även den är prydd med glitterlim.

I didn´t have a small bird to cut out, so it had to be a little butterfly... =) It´s also covered with some glitter glue.

A jar full of This 'n' that

En burk fylld med Smått o gott

Här har jag återanvänt en burk som det varit snabbkaffe i. Jag har satt på en etikett som fungerar som en griffeltavla eller griffelfärg, vilket gör att man kan ändra texten efter vad som finns i burken. Locket har prytts av tre små blad och en blomma.

I have reused a jar that that contained instant coffee. On it is a label that works as a chalkboard,  which means that you can change the text for what's in the can. The lid is adorned by three small leaves and a flower.

Bandet runt burken består av fyra olika lager - ett brett i botten, ett organzaband, en spets och överst ett dekorband som sytts ihop på baksidan med en vit sytråd. En stämplad fjäril har blivit färglagd, utklippt och fått två små pärlor på sig.

The ribbon around the jar consists of four different layers - widest at the bottom, an organza ribbon, a lace and on top a decorative ribbon, all sewn together at the back with a white sewing thread. A stamped butterfly has become colored, cut out and got two small beads on it.

I bandet har jag sytt fast ett litet metallhänge med en vit sytråd.

I have sewn a small metal pendant with a white sewing thread on the ribbon.

Small envelopes of seeds

Även om vintern på många håll finns kvar (här snöade det igår) så känner i alla fall jag att våren ändå är i antågande. Man börjar så smått tänka på spirande vårblommor, kaffe på altanen med vårsolen värmande i ansiktet... Aaahhh!
Idag vill jag förstärka den känslan genom att tipsa om små fina fröpåsar man kan göra. De kan såklart innehålla vilka frön som helst! =)

Although winter in many places are still around (here it snowed yesterday) I feel spring is coming. One start to think of the small spring flowers, coffee on the patio with the spring sun warming your face ... Aaahhh!
Today, I want to enhance that feeling by show you small seed bags you can do. They can of course contain any types of seeds! =)

Christmas Tree

Barnen ville göra pepparkakshus i år, och då måste man ju ha lite skog runt huset, eller hur? Dessa granar är busenkla att göra och kan dekoreras precis hur som helst!

The kids wanted to make a gingerbread house this year, and you got to have a forest around the house, right? These trees are so easy to make and can be decorated with anything!

Jag har valt att använda glittertejpen längs kanterna på grandelarna och kompletterat med röda stenar.

I´ve chosed to use glitter washi tape along the edges of the tree and added red rhinestones.

Hanging stars

Något man kan vika är dessa stjärnor. Den lilla stjärnan är gjord av  4st 10x10cm bitar, den stora av 4st 15x15cm. Det är lite pilligt i början, men sedan flyter det bara på. =)
I mitten av stjärnorna sitter det blommor i passande färg för att gömma hålet som blir. Pärlorna kommer från pins som Reprint har. De har jag "slaktat" och trätt pärlorna på en tråd.

Something you can fold are these stars. The little star is made of 4 pcs 10x10cm pieces, the large of 4st 15x15cm. It´s a little difficult at first, but then you can go with the flow. =)
In the middle of the stars is flowers in a matching color to hide the hole .The beads come from pins in Reprints assortment. I have "butchered" a few and put the beads on a thread.

Klassiskt hjärta

Detta är ett hjärta som man har gjort i många många år, då gärna av glanspapper i rött och vitt. Hjärtat fylls sen med godis och hängs upp i granen.
Här är hjärtat gjort i ett av Reprints nya härliga 12x12" papper. Som dekoration har en av de nya julstämplarna använts, svagt färglagd av Distress ink.

This is a heart that has been done for many many years, preferably in red and white glossy paper. The heart was filled with candy and hung on the Christmas tree.
My heart is made of one of Reprints new wonderful 12x12 "paper. The decoration is one of the new Christmas stamps faintly colored by the Distress Ink.

Vingarna på ängeln är täckta med Stardust glitterlim för en riktigt änglalik känsla... =)

The wings of the angel are covered with Stardust glitter glue for a truly angelic feeling... =)

Smart förvaring!

Mina barn fick ett rör med chokladlinser som lördagsgodis i går. Och när detta rör låg tomt på köksbänken såg jag framför mig att jag äntligen skulle får lite koll på mina penslar som annars far illa i pyssellådan. Resultatet blev...

My kids got a tube full of chocolate lenses as sweets yesterday. And when this pipe lay empty on the counter, I saw in front of me that I would finally get a little track of my paint brushes that otherwise get mistreated. The result...

 

...detta! Röret kläddes med ett mönstrat papper, som först stämplades med en passande text och dekorativa border i över- och underkant. En liten etikett talar om vad som finns i röret.

...this! The tube was dressed in a patterned paper, which was first stamped with an suitable text and decorative border at top and bottom. A small label tells you what's inside.

Vägghylla för småsaker

Mina barn är mästare på att samla på småsaker, så jag köpte denna på loppis där en del av sakerna kan få plats. Såna här hyllor finns lite här och där att få tag på och de är jättefina tycker jag - och väldigt roliga att göra i ordning! =)

Den här hyllan blev lite "slarvigt" målad i en svagt grön färg, för inte se helt nymålad ut. Färgen späddes först ut med vatten för att det inte skulle bli ett tjockt lager.

My children are masters to collect small stuff, so I bought this shelf at the flea market where some of the small items can fit. You can get hold of these nice shelves here and there, and they and very fun to work with! =) 

This shelf was a bit "sloppy" painted in a pale green color, not to look completely newly painted. The paint was diluted with water in order to make the paint thinner.

På baksidan i varje fack klistrades mönstrade pappersbitar fast. Det blir nästan som tapet på en vägg.

On the back of each compartment a patterned paper was attached. It's almost like wallpaper on a wall.

Nu kan de börja ställa dit småsaker som de vill spara och titta på.

Now the kids can put their small items there that they want to save and look at.

Chokladfodral

Min absoluta favoritchoklad just nu är denna - med saltlakritskrisp!! Och denna härliga upplevelse vill jag dela med mig av, därför är veckans inspirationsbidrag till bloggen ett fodral passande denna underbara chokladkaka.
Dessutom hittade jag dessa Bazzill Dotted Swiss-papper som jag inte använt på länge. Färgerna stämde bra överens med färgerna på chokladförpackningen.

My absolute favorite chocolate right now is this one - with salt licorice crisps!! And this week's contribution to the blog is a case fitting this wonderful chocolate bar.
I also found these Bazzill Dotted Swiss papers that I have not used in a long time. The colors matched the colors of chocolate packaging.

Skylten sitter på en gördel av mörklila Dotted-cardstock runt fodralet så den går att flytta, eller tas av om man vill. En cirkelstans har använts högst upp för att få ur det lilla greppet ur fodralet.

The "sign" is attached on a girdle of dark purple Dotted Swiss cardstock around the case so it can be moved, or removed if you wish. A circle punch has been used at the top to get that little hole to pull out the chocolate easier out of the case.

Som bakgrund till texten har jag använt mig av fyra olika hjärtstämplar i fem olika färger. Ordet Chocolate har piffats till med 3D-lack.

Kakor!

När vi var hos Reprint i våras fick vi med oss några brödpåsar i oblekt papper. Jag har stansat ut ett hål ur påsen och klistrat dit en bit plast för att få ett fönster. Man vill ju gärna se vad som gömmer sig där... =) Som dekor sitter det ett tårtpapper från Bo Bunny runt hålet för att dölja kanten på plastbiten.

I have used a bread bag in craft paper, which I punched out a hole in and glued a piece of plastic over to get a window into the bag. It´s nice to see what's hiding in there... =) As a decor I have pasted a doily from Bo Bunny around the hole to cover the edge of the plastic.

Dessa chalkboard-etiketter är jättefina och praktiska. Perfekt om man vill återanvända påsen och skriva nåt annat!

These chalkboard labels are really nice and works great. Perfect if you want to reuse the bag and write something else!

Skrivtavla

Dagens bidrag är en skrivtavla som man kan lämna små meddelanden på. Till sin man till exempel... =)
Jag har målat träbrickan med en färg som har stor täckförmåga, torkar snabbt och finns i massor av läckra färger! Jag har först målat ett lager med en mörkare nyans som sedan målats över med en ljus nyans när det första lagret torkat. Innan det ljusa färgen torkar tar man en trasa eller papper och torkar bort färg på utvalda ställen för att få till ett slitet utseende.
Kanterna på botten av brickan maskerades med maskeringstejp och sen målades chalkboard-färgen på.

Today's contribution is a chalkboard that you can leave small messages on. To your husband for example... =)
I have painted the wood tray with a color that has great opacity, dries quickly and is available in lots of nice colors! I first painted a coat with a darker shade then painted with a lighter shade when the first layer has dried. Before the lighter shade dries, take a cloth or paper and wipe away the paint in selected areas in order to get a worn look.
The edges of the bottom of the tray was masked with masking tape and then painted with the chalkboard paint.

Några av Reprints fina stämpelmotiv pryder kanten runt skrivytan. En jutefjäril fick också vara med.

Some of Reprint´s nice stamp motifs decorate the edges around the writing surface. A burlap butterfly also joins the party.

Stryka-på-motiv

Reprint har fått in Stryka-på ark med glitter i många härliga färger. Jag har använt mig av några tillsammans med Bo Bunnys nya dies.

Reprint have received iron-on sheets of glitter in many beautiful colors. I am using some of them, along with Bo Bunny's new dies.

Det är lite pilligt att få ut alla små hål, men med en bra pincett och lite tålamod blir det så här fint.

It´s a bit tricky to get all the little holes out, but with a good pair of tweezers and a little patience, it will be this nice.

Jag har strukit på 3:an utan ånga i någon minut med en kökshandduk mellan. Det tål 40 graders tvätt. Och det går alldeles utmärkt att klistra fast motiven på ett kort också! :)

I have set the iron on 3, without steam, in around a minute with a kitchen towel between. It can be washed in 40 degrees celcius. And it is perfectly fine to stick the motives on a card too! :)

En ask - igen...

Jag och askar... Det går inte att låta bli när man får en bra ask över från något man köpt eller fått. Denna gången var det något efter min dotters 3-årsdag.
Hur som helst, denna ask har klätts med ett jättefint papper, och vackra papper kommer man långt med! ;) Det enda som lagts till är spets runt kanten, ett stämplat budskap och några dekorationer i all sin enkelhet.

Me and boxes ... I can´t resist a nice box that comes from something purchased or received. This time it was something for my daughter's 3rd birthday.
Anyway, this box has been covered with a beautiful paper, and beautiful paper will get you far! ;) The only thing added is the lace around the edge, a stamped message and some decorations in all its simplicity.

Minibyrå

Idag har jag gjort en minibyrå av sex tändsticksaskar. I den kan du lägga småpyssel, typ brads o sånt, eller varför inte ge bort lite julkryddor?
I botten och på toppen har jag satt dit en pappskiva som håller ihop hela rasket, klädd med motivpapper. När du ska limma motivpappret runt askarna, glöm då inte för allt i världen att ta ur lådorna ur askarna, annars limmar du fast baksidan i lådorna, vilket resulterar i att de inte går att öppna. Tro mig...

Today I made a mini drawer of six matchboxes. In it, you can add small things like brads o stuff like that, or why not give away some Christmas spices?
In the bottom and at the top, I glued pieces of cardboard that holds the whole caboodle together, covered with design paper. When you glue the design paper around the boxes, do not forget to remove the drawers out of the boxes, otherwise you glue the back of the boxes, with the result that they can not open. Trust me, I know ...

På sidorna av byrån sitter det dekorationer i form av två stämpelmotiv och en bild ur senaste klipparket. 
 
On the sides of the dresser is decorations glued on in the form of two stamp imressions and a picture from the latest cut-out sheet.

Handtagen på lådorna består av snören som gör det lätt att dra ut lådorna. Under byrån (innan bottenplattan klistrades dit) sattes brads dit som ben på byrån.

The handles on the drawers is made out of strings that make it easy to pull out the drawers. At the bottom (before the bottom plate was pasted there) brads were attached as legs on the dresser.

Tedags!

Dessa fantastiska papper behöver inte många dekorationer. Höstlöven och färgerna är så fina! Asken är grundad med vit gesso. Det är tepåsar i asken, vilket passar bra för säsongen.

These amazing papers does not need many decorations. The autumn leaves and the colors are so lovely! The box is colored with white gesso. There are tea bags in the box, which is well suited for the season.

Kortsidorna är dekorerade med matchande papper och passande stämpelmotiv som är färglagt med Distresser.

The short sides are decorated with matching paper and matching stamp designs that are colored with Distress ink.

Locket har jag valt att inte klä med papper, för det vore synd att täcka det. Istället sitter det en rosett av två band samt några blommor och blad. Nätet är utstansat med en die ur höstens härliga papperskollektion.

The lid I´ve chosen not to dress with paper, beacuse it would be a shame to cover it up. Instead, it´s a bow of two ribbons and a few flowers and leaves. The net is cut out with a die from the fall's lovely paper collection.

Bus eller godis

Såhär ryslig kan en vanlig godisburk bli!

Burken är först svampmålad med vit Gesso. Sedan har jag svampat på svart akrylfärg och lite rött. När det torkat hällde jag röd färg från kanten på två ställen som ska se ut som blod. För att färgen ska vara blank även när den torkat har jag lagt ett lager Glossy Accent på. 

Trick or treat?

The jar is first sponge painted with white gesso. Then I sponged on black acrylic paint and a little red. When it dried I poured red paint from the edge in two places that look like blood. For the paint to stay "wet" when dry, I added a layer of Glossy Accent.

"Spindelväven" är ett vitt dekorband som blivit svartmålat och sedan fått iriserande spray på sig. Sedan är det klippta hål lite här och där för att få till det spretiga utseendet.

The "cobweb" is a white decorative ribbon that has been painted black and then got iridescent spray on. Then, holes were cut here and there to get that worn appearance.

The blood is flowing...

Fladdermusen och spöket är stämplade och sedan utklippta. De sitter på 3D-kuddar.

The bat and ghost is stamped and then cut out. They are glued on 3D foam pads.

Detta är egentligen en bild från ett klippark, där jag har "hottat" upp barnen på bilden lite. Förlåt, Carina... ;)

This is actually a picture from a cut-out paper where I have "spiced up" the children in the picture a little. Sorry, Carina ...;)
 

Dödskallarna är målade på frihand. Och vad kan man bättre fylla burken med än dödskallar, löständer, spöken och hjärnor!

The skulls are paited by hand. And what could be better than to fill the jar with skulls, false teeth, ghosts and brains!
