Three little chicks!

Här är det tre små kycklingar som fastnat på film! Ett väldigt sparsmakat kort med inga egentliga dekorationer, "bara" kycklingarna.

Here are the three little chicks caught on film! A very simple card with no decorations really, "only" the chickens.

Kycklingarna är enkelt och lite "slarvigt" färglagda, vilket ger liv åt bilden.

The chicks are colored a bit "sloppy", giving life to the picture.

Greetings from the Easter bunny

På lördag är det påskafton, en dag som många barn längtar till, inklusive mina.
Här i stan har vi påskparad där både barn och vuxna klär ut sig och tågar en slinga genom city. Flera hundra ställer upp och är med, och det är så härlig stämning. Och så allt godis lockar också såklart!
Men i väntan på det roar jag mig med att göra kort som ska ges bort ihop med påskpresenterna.
Årets färgtema är grönt och gult (surprise!).

On Saturday it´s Easter Saturday, a day that many children are longing for, including mine.
In my hometown we have an Easter parade where both children and adults dress up and march through the centre. Hundreds attend, and it's a fantastic atmosphere. And all the candy attracts too of course!
But while waiting for it I amuse myself by making cards to be given away together with the Easter presents.
This year's color theme is green and yellow (surprise!).

Olika band och glittertejp mixas för att få lite lager-på-lager effekt. Pilen är målad med grön tusch och sedan piffad med glitterlim.

Different ribbons and glitter tape are mixed together to make a layer-on-layer effect. The arrow is painted in green and then coated with glitter glue.

Easter kisses

Den allra enklaste lilla påskpresenten gör man med hjälp av Reprints klippark. Här har jag gjort en "topper" till en cellofanpåse fylld med Hershey's Kisses, med en vacker bild och ett par fjädrar som dekoration. Superenkelt och säkert väldigt uppskattat!

The easiest give-away in Easter is made with the help from a Reprint cut-out sheet. Here I made a simple bag-topper for a cellophane bag filled with Hershey's kisses and decorated it with a cute image and a couple of feathers. So simple, and I'm guessing also very appreciated.

Åsså var det där med Stickles ... :) Lite glitterlim förhöjer bilden, här har hela kycklingen fått ett tunt lager Star Dust stickles, och ögat har fått lite lack.

And then some Stickles ... :) A touch of glitter glue makes the image stand out, here the chicken got a thin layer of Star Dust stickles, and on the eye I used some Glossy Accents.

Easter greetings

Påskhälsningar

Jag tjuvstartar lite med påskkorten eftersom jag vet av erfarenhet att jag brukar tycka att tiden inte riktigt räcker till... =)
Här tycker jag att Reprints Basic Collection mösterark passar alldeles utmärkt! De är så glada i färgerna och stämmer väl överens med vårens alla färger.

I'm jumping the gun a little bit with the Easter cards because I know from experience that I usually find that the time flies... =)
Here, I think Reprints Basic Collection patterned papers fits perfectly! They are so happy in the colors and fits well with spring colors.

En bild ur ett klippark, några blingstenar och en rosett av organzaband och kortet är klart! Snabbt och enkelt!

Jaha, då är det snart påsk... Och i den tidigare nämnda paketen från Reprint kom dessa fina klippark med ett passande motiv. Ja, egentligen är allt på kortet från den nya kollektionen utom stämpelmotivet.

Time fies, it's almost Easter... And in the packages from Reprint, as I mentioned erlier, I got these nice Cut out motifs that fitted well. All the paper and decorations on the card is from the new collection, besides the stamp.

Den runda stämpeln är svagt färglagd med Distress ink för att tona ner det vita pappret som den är stämplad på.

The round stamp motif is colored with Distress Ink to tone down the white paper it is stamped on.

Från påskharen

Det är alltid kul och uppskattat att ge bort dekorerade påsar med något gott inuti. Och det passar ju synnerligen bra så här års. Särskilt när det kommer direkt från påskharen!

Decorated paper bags filled with candy are always appreciated gifts, especially this time of year.

Påsen är dekorerad med en påskstämpel (hur söt är inte påskharen???) och en doily samt några rosor. Klart!

The paper bag is decorated with a Easter themed stamp (so love the Easter Bunny), a doily and three roses. Done!

Easter wall decoration

En skylt med fina klipparksbilder pryder vår köksvägg till påsk. Den går fort att göra, jag tror minsann att jag ska göra en till som gå-bort-present!

A wall hanging with vintage cut-out Easter images decorates out kitchen wall for this Easter. It is really quick to make, I think will do another one, for a hostess gift!

Kanterna är embossade med platinum embossingpulver. Det är härligt "chunky" i strukturen och ramar fin bilderna fint. Jag har använt 3D kuddar för att få lite distans mellan bilderna och bakgrunden.

The edges are embossed using the platinum embossing powder. It's gorgeously chunky and makes such a nice frame for the pictures. I used foam squares to get some distance between the pictures and the background.

På den översta bilden har jag använt en del av ett designpapper, stämplat en text och embossat den i guld. Ett hänge från Tim Holtz och några bandstumpar som dekoration.

The top most image is part of a 12 inch design paper. I just added a sentiment and embossed it using gold embossing powder. The crystal pendant is from Tim Holtz, and the ribbon are just scrap pieces I had lying around.

Nio små påskrutor!

Min dotter fick ett sällskapsspel i julklapp med brickor man ska spela med. Innan man kunde börja spela var man tvungen att "poppa" ut brickorna ur en ram med nio brickor i varje. Dessa ramar tog jag vara på (som inte hör till spelet) och här har en av dem kommit till användning.
Jag har målat ramen vit med Gesso och sedan skitat ned den lite med en brun dyna. I de nio rutorna har jag använt papper ur Reprints Basic Collection i påskiga färger.

My daughter got a board game for Christmas with tiles to play with. Before you could start to play, you had to "pop" out the tiles from a frame with nine tiles each. These frames I took advantage of (not belonging to the game) and this is one of them come into use.
I have painted the frame white with Gesso and then distressed it a bit with a brown inkpad. In the nine boxes I have used paper from Reprints Basic Collection in easter colors.

I en av rutorna sitter en liten flicka från ett av de fina klipparken. Blommorna har fått lite glitterlim på sig. Jag har tagit några fjädrar jag hade samt lite dekorationer ur Reprints sortiment som jag tyckte passade bra in. Den stämplade kycklingen är täckt med 3D-lack.

In one of the boxes is a little girl from one of the great sheets of cut-outs. The flowers got a little glitter on it. I've taken some feathers I had and a few decorations out of Reprints range which I thought fitted in nice. The stamped impression of a chicken is covered with 3D paint.

Det börjar närma sig påsk!

Nu är det snart dags för påskveckan. Du kanske är bortbjuden till någon eller planerar att ge bort något trevligt till påsk men inte hunnit göra något kort??? Var lugn - här kommer inspiration till lite olika tags som du kan göra....

Den här tagen har jag stansat ut med en stans från Tim Holtz i det fina påskpappret Happy Easter från Reprint. Sedan stämplade jag med stämpeln  OM687C i brunt. Dekorationen består av burlapband, lite spets, bruna pärlor och några fina blommor:

 På tag nummer två har jag också använt mig av samma tagstans från Tim Holtz + en med den fina påskharen. Tagen är utstansad från det läckra pappret Easter Chicken och haren i kraft cardstock och  Light Pink Minidots från Basic Collection. Sedan dekorerade jag med lite olika blommor och ett fint prickigt band.

Tag nummer tre är infärgade med olika Distress-dynor i gröna nyanser. Därefter monterade jag en vintagebild från det nya påskarket Vintage Easter . Slutligen dekorerade jag med rosband, gröna blommor och halvpärlor.

Tag nummer fyra är också infärgad med Distressdynor men denna gången i flera olika gula nyanser. Jag stämplade den fina påskhälsningen  OM687C och sedan embossade jag hela etiketten i en embossingfolder från Tim Holtz. Lite påskfjädrar fick sticka fram under det gulliga vintagemotivet från klipparket Vintage Easter.

Den femte och sista tagen är även den infärgad med olika distressdynor i gult och lite brunt. Jag använde den gulliga stämpeln men påskharen och de fina swirlstämplarna . Sedan dekorerade jag med lite olika blommor och halvpärlor.

Så stressa inte  - gör en tag istället! ;)

Altered Easter glass jar

En söt burk fylld till bredden med påskägg kan ges till en liten påskkärring eller egentligen till vem som helst. Här har jag använt mig av Reprints nya mixed media produkter för att skapa denna läckerbit.

A cute jar filled with Easter candy is the perfect gift for practically anyone. I used the Mixed media product line from Reprint for this sweet treet.

Man måste inte skapa på en canvas - en urdiskad senapsburk funkar fint det också! Här ser ni vilka produkter jag utgått ifrån, länkar till produkterna finns längst ner i inlägget.

Mixed media is not only for canvas projects - an empty mustard jar works perfectly fine as well! Here are the products I used for this project.

Jag började med att fästa vanligt silkespapper med hjälp av decoupagelimmet. Reprint har vackra mönstrade rispapper, men jag ville ha en enfärgad bas så vanligt vitt passade bra. Ovan på det penslade jag på ett tunt lager av akrylfärg, vit med guldmetallicbrytning. Påsketiketten fäste jag med decoupagelimmet och sedan applicerade jag den coolaste produkten av dem alla: Pasta Luce med guldflingor. Jag la ganska stora klumpar längs hela nederkanten av burken, och även längs kanterna på locket. Och lite på blomman. :) Det vita limmet torkar genomskinligt och då syns bara de fina guldflagorna.

I started by adding some silk paper using the decoupage glue. Reprint have some stunning designed rice paper, but I used regular white silk paper since I didn't want any pattern for the base. On top, I brushed a layer of acrylic paint, white with gold metallic. Again I used the decoupage glue, this time to adhere the Easter label/cut out. Around the bottom edge and also around the lid, I then added the coolest product of the all, Pasta Luce with gold flakes (the flower got some as well). I added thick lumps at the very bottom, don't be afraid to add more than you think! :) The white glue dries clear, and the gold flakes will magically appear.

Texten stämplade jag med StazOn på krympplast som jag stansat ut en cirkel av. Viktigt att komma ihåg är att göra eventuella hål innan man värmer plasten, för sen blir den så hård att den spricker om man försöker då. Under krympplasten satte jag en utstansad cirkel av ett prickigt papper, så att texten skulle synas bättre mot bakgrunden.

The sentiment was stamped using StazOn on shrink plastic. Remember to punch a hole in the plastic before you heat it up, since it will crack if you try to punch it afterwords. I placed a punched-out circle of dotted green paper under the plastic, to make the text stand out against the background.

Nu får påskkärringarna komma, innan jag hinner äta upp all goda äggen själv!

Now we are all set for the Easter witches to come fetch the sweets before I eat them myself!

Fin godisgåva

Jag kör vidare på påsktemat denna veckan också. Här ser du ett fodral till en påse som man med fördel kan lägga godis i.
Jag har skurit en remsa ur ett av Reprints nya 12" papper, ca 11cm bred. Sedan bigar (markerar för vikning) du på 2,5cm, 14cm, 16,5cm och 19cm. Vik på alla ställen och chalka kanterna om du vill. Skär ur en cirkel där framsidan kommer att hamna. Gör likadant i ett litet kakpapper som blir en ram runt hålet. Fyll sedan påsen med valfritt innehåll, vik fodralet runt påsen och stansa hål för snöret genom både fodralet och påsen. På så sätt hänger påsen kvar.

I am continuing with the Easter theme this week too. Here you can see a case for a bag that you can usefully put candy in.
I have cut a strip from one of Reprints new 12 inch paper, about 11cm wide. Mark for folding on 2.5 cm, 14cm, 16.5cm and 19cm. Fold in all places and distress the edges if you want. Cut out a circle where the front will end up. Do the same in a small doily paper which becomes a frame around the hole. Then fill the bag with sweets, fold the sleeve around the bag and punch holes for string through both case and bag.

Fodralet är dekorerat med ett par blommor och ett stämpelmotiv som är färglagt och täckt med 3D-lack.

The case is decorated with a few flowers and a stamp motif that is colored and covered with 3D paint.

Feathers

Här är en liten påskhälsning dekorerad med ett knippe kycklingfjädrar. Fjädrarna har jag stämplat på vitt slätt cardstock, och jag använde olika nyanser av gula Distress Markers för att färglägga direkt på stämpeln.

Here's an Easter greeting, decorated with a whole bunch of feathers. The feathers were stamped on white cardstock, using a few shades of yellow Distress Markers firectly on the stamp.

Änglar kanske också ruggar? Här har jag stämplat med samma fjäderstämpel tre gånger, ovanpå färgfält som jag skapat med Distress Stains. Alla fina detaljer i stämpeln kommer verkligen fram när man använder en Versa Fine stämpeldyna.

Do angels shed? Here I used the same feather stamp three times, on colour fields that I first created using Distress Stains. The beautiful details in this stamp really comes to live when using a Versa Fine stamp pad.

Det vänstra färgfältet gjorde jag med en metallic Distress Stains, Tarnished Brass, så det glimmar som guld i solen. Texten stämplade jag först en gång på ett skräppapper, och sedan en gång till på ett vitt cardstock så att jag fick den effekt jag ville ha med ett grått stämpelavtryck med lite liv i.

I used one of the metallic Distress Stains for the left-most colour field, Tarnished Brass, which gives it a shiny feel. The text was first stamped off on a scrap piece of paper, then stamped again on white cardstock to achieve the effect I was looking for, a greyish shade with some live in it.

Har´e bra...

I all sin enkelhet fick haren återigen komma till användning och så blev det ett påskkort.

In all its simplicity, the bunny was put to use once again and it became an Easter card.

Kortbasen har prytts med lite färgstänk i matchande färg till det fina pappret ur Reprints nya kollektion i Basic Collection. Texten är skriven för hand.

The card base has been decorated with a little splash of a matching color to the nice paper from Reprints new collection in the Basic Collection. The greeting (Happy Easter) is written by hand.

3 Simple Cards for Easter

Today I´m gonna show you three really simple Easter cards that really puts Reprint´s beautiful stamps in focus. To start with I used a white, smooth cardstock so the stamps really show. I chose three different stamps from Reprint and one Easter greeting text.

On the first I used a luscious fern stamp (OM1131I) and four different green Distress Ink Pads:

On the second is a delicate anemone flower stamped with four different yellowish Distress Ink Pads:

On the third I used a beautiful butterfly stamp and four different purple Distress Ink Pads:

As you can see I used the same Easter greeting on all of them using a Tuxedo Black ink pad from Memento.

The cutest chicken

Den allra sötaste lilla påskkycklingen har fått sällskap av ett helt gäng kycklingkompisar stämplade på vitt cardstock. Jag har använt en Versafine stämpeldyna så att de fina detaljerna i stämpeln verkligen ska komma fram på mitt "egendesignade" mönsterpapper.

The cutest chick of them all got company by a whole bunch of feathery friends, stamped on white smooth cardstock. I used a Versafine stamp pad to really get all the fine details from the stamps.

Den lilla kycklingen än färglagd med distresser, urklippt och monterade med 3D kuddar ovanpå en svart-vit stämplad kyckling.

I painted the little chick with Distress inks and a water brush, fuzzy cut it out and mounted with foam squeares on top of a black-and-white stamped shicken.

Samma kyckling pryder även nästa enkla kort, där jag valt att inte färglägga själva kycklingarna utan istället skapa en gul-orange bakgrund av cirklar, stämplade med Distress dynor.

The same chick stamp is used on this next card, where i chose not to paint the chicks but instead create a yellowis-orange background of circles using Distress ink pads.

Här ser man tydligt hur cirklarna överlappar varandra och ger ytterligare nya nyanser bakom de små kycklingarna på rad.

Here you can see how the circles overlap, adding even more shades of orange behind the sweet row of chicks.

Tidig påskhälsning

Jag vet att det är tidigt (påsk är inte förrän i april) men jag bara måste visa vad jag gjorde hos Reprint på kursen som Annelie höll i.
Vi använde oss av en dubbelhäftande foam som vi hällde olika embosspulver och glitter på. Direkt när du smält pulvret med embossfön, precis innan det stelnar trycker du dit de stämpeltryck du vill ha. Jag gjorde en grunge-hare i lila, metall och blått...

I know it's early (Easter is not until April) but I just have to show what I did at Reprint on the course led by Annelie.
We used a double-sided foam which we poured different embossing powder and glitter on. Immediately after melting the powder, just before it hardens, you press the stamp impression you want. I did a grunge-bunny in purple, metal and blue ...

 

När haren var klar var det bara att ta bort skyddspappret från baksidan och klistra fast den. Jag kompletterade med en text som jag skrivit ut från datorn.

When the bunny was done I just removed the backing paper from the back and mount it. I also added two words (Easter greetings) that I printed out from the computer.

Chocolate bunnies

Äntligen är det påsk! Godisskålen är full, och en av mina favoriter är chokladkaniner, ni vet de där inslagna i guldpapper och med en liten bjällra runt halsen? Det här lilla kaninskämtet är bland det roligaste jag vet, jag börjar fnissa bara jag tänker på det ... :) Ett enkelt kort att lämna över tillsammans med påskägget, kanske finns det en chokladkanin däri?

Easter is here at last! A lot of sweets are being eaten, and one of my favourites is chocolate bunnies, you know the kind that is wrapped in gold paper and with a little bell around the neck? This little bunny joke is amongst the funniest I know, it really makes me smile just thinking about it ... :) A clean and simple card to give with the Easter egg full of treats, perhaps there's a chocolate bunny in there as well?

De fina rosa Basic Collection pappren från Reprint gör sig fint mot de chokladbruna kaninerna som är utstansade med en die från Tim Holtz. Den prickiga plattan och den vita vågiga plattan bakom är utstansade, med dies från Sizzix. Pratbubblorna har jag skrivit ut på datorn och klippt ut.

The pink crisp and clean papers from Reprint's Basic Collection work perfectly with the chocolate brown bunnies (cut out using a Tim Holtz die). The dotted mat and white scalloped mat underneath are also die cuts, using dies from Sizzix. I used my office printer to print the speach bubbles onto white smooth cardstock and cut them out with scissors.
