Pyramid-ask

En pyramid-ask är jätteenkel att göra, och kan såklart anpassas i storlek till det som ska ligga i. =) Börja först med att rita en kvadrat i mitten av ett kartongark. Rita sedan trekanter ut från varje sida på kvadraten, enligt bild. Glöm inte att rita dit "vingar" på sidorna som sedan ska vikas in.

A pyramid box is really easy to do, and of course it can be customized in size to fit the gift. =) First, draw a square in the middle of a cardboard sheet. Then draw triangles out of each side of the square, as shown. Do not forget to draw your "wings" on the edges that will be folded in.

Om du inte vill rita direkt på det papper som vill göra asken av, kan du göra en mall som du sedan använder att rita av.

If you don´t want to draw on the paper that you´re gonna use for the box, use a template.

När asken är utklippt viker du länga alla linjer. Gör ett litet hål i toppen på varje flik.

When the box are cut, you fold along all lines. Make a small hole at the top of each triangle.

Sen är det bara att lägga i vad du vill ge bort och trä ett fint band genom hålen och knyta.

Put in what you want to give away and tie a nice ribbon through the holes and make a bow.

En fin etikett blir pricken över i:et!

En liten ask

En liten ask är bra till bl.a. presentkort som annars är rätt tråkiga att ge bort. Klipp eller stansa ut den blivande asken. Om du vill ha stämpelmotiv på asken - stämpla INNAN du monterar den.

A small box is good for gift certificates that are otherwise quite boring to give away. Cut or punch out the box. If you want a stamp motif on the box - stamp BEFORE mounting it.

När stämplandet är klart är det bara att montera ihop asken och dekorera. Jag valde ett fint band och några pärlor. En etikett med grattishälsningen + en liten trollslända kompletterar asken.

Once the stamping is finished, just assemble the box and decorate. I chose a nice ribbon and some pearls. A tag with the greeting + a little dragonfly complements the box.

Welcome box

Ibland när vi ska få hem gäster på middag tycker jag att det är kul att göra någon form av välkomstgåva som står vid varje tallrik. Det ger en liten lyxig känsla - och så är det så kul att få göra dem!
Här är en liten box gjord av ett papper ur Reprints härliga "köksserie". Boxen är gjord efter en mall som jag hittat på Internet. Sedan har jag sotat alla vikta kanter och ytterkanterna.

Sometimes when we get guests home for dinner, it's fun to do some kind of welcome gift lying on each plate. It gives a little touch of luxury - and it's so fun to do them!
Here is a small box made of a paper from Reprints lovely "kitchen series". The box is made by a template that I found on the Internet. I have inked all folded edges and outer edges.

Skylten är stämplad med en välkomsttext samt med en stämpel med glas på i en svag färg så att det bara syns lite i bakgrunden. Några pärlor och ett par blommor fick också plats.

The plate is stamped with a welcome note, and a stamp with glass was stamped in a light color so it just shows a bit in the background. A few pearls and a few flowers were also glued on.

Inuti asken syns den andra sidan av pappret, som egentligen är framsidan tror jag. Men som med alla Reprints papper är båda sidorna lika fina! Det är alltid svårt att välja, men det är ett kärt bekymmer =)

Inside the box you can see the other side of the paper, which is really the front, I think. But as with any of Reprints paper, both sides just as nice! It´s always difficult to choose, but it is a dear trouble  =)

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

ich bin immer noch total begeistert von den neuen Stempeln. Einer meiner absoluten Favoriten ist diese wunderschöne Rose. Sie sind einfach so vielseitig einsetzbar und wirken dabei immer total edel - egal ob Geburtstag, Muttertag oder als kleines Dankeschön - einfach perfekt!

Heute habe ich mein neuen Lieblingsmotive mit den wunderschönen REPRINT Papieren in den Farbtönen schwarz und rosa kombiniert.

I am still in love with the new stamps. One of my favorite ones is this beautiful rose. You can use her for basically every occasion and it looks so sophisticated - no matter if it's a birthday card, mother's day or a little thank you note - just perfect!

Today I've combined my new favorite stamp with the wondervoll REPRINT paper in black and rose.

Entstanden ist dabei diese schicke pillowbox. Die Schleife ist ebenfalls aus dem Papier und wurde im Anschluss noch mit ein paar Glitzersteinen veredelt.

I've created this fancy pillowbox. The ribbon is also made of the paper and I've added some rhinestones to complete the look.

A little box

Today I´m gonna show you a little box that I made. It´s almost the size of a small Swedish matchbox made out of ordinary white cardstock:

Before I assembled the box I glued a patterned paper from Reprint (that I discovered is no longer available but it would look lovely in any of the new ones) that I chalked the edges on. I cut a strip of the same paper and stamped the text. I decorated with some leaves and a flower.

Christmas ornament in a box

Nu har leveransen kommit! Pinfärska julpapper och stämplar från Reprint, den ena mer ljuvlig än den andra. Här kommer en liten ask som jag bara var tvungen att vika ihop av ett par av de små pappren (6x6 tum). Med hjälp av ett band så förvandlas asken till en julgransprydnad!

The delivery has arrived! Fresh from the print, the new seasonal papers and stamps from Reprint - each and everyone of them are absolutely delightful. Here's a small box I just had to fold, trying out a couple of the papers from the small paper pads (6x6 inches). Adding a ribbon makes into a Christmas tree ornament!

Jag använde min Top Score Multiboard för att snabbt vika asken och valde olika papper till ask och lock. Kanterna färgades in försiktigt med Distress ink och en Blending tool. På varje sida fäste jag en "biljett" som matchade pappret, från ett av de stora klipparken.

I used my Top Score Multiboard to quicky fold the box. I chose different patterns for the box and lid, and inked the edges ever so lightly when it was folded. I added a ticket on each side, from one of the large cut-out sheets.

Som dekoration använde jag en av de nya stämplarna och krympplast. Här måste man använda en stämpeldyna som fäster på glatta underlag. Jag använde Staz-on. Dagens tips: Se till att göra hål i plasten innan du krymper den! :)

I used one of the new stamps for the decoration, stamping it on shrink plastic and watch it magically become this sweet little charm. I used Staz-on since you need an ink pad for glossy surfaces. Here's my tip of the day: make sure you punch that hole in the plastic before it shrinks :)

Jag gjorde hål rakt i både lock och botten på asken och drog ett organizaband rakt igenom. På undersidan färsta jag varsitt hänge i varje band, en plastprisma och en metallcharm i form av en ängel.

I made a small hole in both lid and box, and pulled a piece of organza right through it. Under the box, I tied an acrylic prism and a small metal charm to each piece of ribbon.

Som i en liten ask!

Då var det dags för en ask igen. Denna gång har jag gjort om en Anthon Berg-ask som har en väldigt bra storlek - och väldigt gott innehåll! =)
Grunden är målad med en nyans av de nya härliga chalkfärgerna, som för övrigt är jätteroliga och lätta att jobba med.

Time for a box again. This time I remade an Anthon Berg's box, that has a very useful size - and a very tasty contents! =)
The box is painted with one shade of the new glorious chalk colors, which also is very fun and easy to work with.

Som dekoration har jag fäst en rosett av två färger organzaband. Några blommor och en fjäril pryder också asken. Stämpelmotivet är embossat med ett transparent glitterpulver för att få extra effekt. Väldigt snyggt tycker jag!

As decoration I´ve attached a bow of two colors organza ribbon. Some flowers and a butterfly adorn the box. The stamp motif is embossed with a transparent glitter embossing powder to get it extra effect. I think it´s very nice!

Runt kanten löper en vit sirlig bomullsspets som ger asken ett lite mer romantiskt uttryck. För att öppna lådan tar man tag i den lilla akrylkristallen som fungerar som ett litet handtag.

Around the edge runs a white graceful cotton lace that gives the box a little more romantic expression. To open the drawer, pull the small acrylic crystal that functions as a small handle.

En söt liten ask för en present till någon man tycker om. Basen är gjord med kraft-färgat cardstock och dekorerad med Reprints härligt prickiga papper.

A cute little box for someone special. The base is made with craft card stock, and decorated with the sweet dotted paper from Reprint.

Stämpeln med "fjärilshjärtat" som jag designat har nu kommit i en mindre version. Supersöt! :)

The heart-and-butterfly stamp that I designed has recently been released in a smaller version. It is just too cute! :)

Man öppnar asken genom att pressa ihop kanterna. Smart.

The box is opened by pressing the edges just a little. Clever.

En ask - igen...

Jag och askar... Det går inte att låta bli när man får en bra ask över från något man köpt eller fått. Denna gången var det något efter min dotters 3-årsdag.
Hur som helst, denna ask har klätts med ett jättefint papper, och vackra papper kommer man långt med! ;) Det enda som lagts till är spets runt kanten, ett stämplat budskap och några dekorationer i all sin enkelhet.

Me and boxes ... I can´t resist a nice box that comes from something purchased or received. This time it was something for my daughter's 3rd birthday.
Anyway, this box has been covered with a beautiful paper, and beautiful paper will get you far! ;) The only thing added is the lace around the edge, a stamped message and some decorations in all its simplicity.

Grattis på födelsedagen!

En ask är alltid roligt att göra! Alla kanter är skrapade med en Edge Scraper och "sotade" med en stämpeldyna för att få det lite slitna utseendet. Asken är först grundmålad med vit Gesso.
Stämpeltrycket har jag gjort i två delar; först färgade jag in första ordet och stämplade, sen tvättade jag rent den och färgade in de två andra orden. På så sätt kan man dela på en mening som inte annars skulle få plats. 

A box is always fun to do! All edges are scraped with an Edge Scraper and "blackened" with an ink pad to make that worn look. The box is first primed with white gesso.

The stamp impression I made in two steps; first I colored in the first word and stamped, then I washed it well and colored the other two words. This way you can split a sentence that would not otherwise fit.

Blommorna har jag låtit gå runt asken från ena hörnet till det andra. En liten cykel pryder också framsidan.

The flowers goes around the box from one corner to the other. A small bike also adorn the front.

Last minute gift wrappings

Så är det då dan före dan. Förhoppningsvis är ni redan klappade och klara och nu bara inväntar julafton i soffan med en mugg varm glögg och julmusik ur högtalarna. Om inte så kommer här ett sista-minuten tips på en snygg presentask, som passar perfekt att stoppa en liten gåva eller kanske ett hastigt inköpt presentkort i.

So, here we are at last, on the day before Christmas. At least in Sweden, where Christmas Eve is the day of the big event, with Christmas presents and all. I hope that you already did all your shopping and now can just enjoy the Christmas spirit in peace and quiet. And if not, here's a tip for a last-minute-gift-wrap, perfect for a little gift or a gift card.

Jag hittade en mall på nätet för denna ask, på engelska kallas den "pillow box", googla och du hittar massor av mallar att skriva ut. Reprints snygga julpapper från Basic Collection passar perfekt eftersom det är i rätt storlek att stoppa in i skrivaren och skriva ut mallen direkt på baksidan. Några band och blommor, lite rhinestones som bling och paketet är klart!

I found a template online for this pillow box, just google it and you will find lots of printable templates. The Christmas paper from Reprint's Basic Collection is perfect to just slide into the printer and print the template directly onto the back of the paper. Add some lace and flowers, a few rhinestones and the box is ready!

Things you could do with tea boxes

Hi everyone!

I decided to make a little box for Christmas so I used a box that usually keeps tea in it as a guide. I made mine from scratch cutting up the original box and using it to make a new one in cardstock, but I think you might as well just cover the original box too:

I just love angels for Christmas  - isn´t this vintage photo just adorable? I also used the new Basic papers in brown with the Christmas text and those new gorgeous flowers.

Ja må du leva

Jag är egentligen en riktig gottegris, även om jag förnekar det för mig själv... Så jag var ju bara tvungen att göra en tårtbit!
Mallen som jag använde finns hos Reprint, men jag har gjort locket annorlunda. Fördelen med detta lock är att du kan dekorera det precis som du vill.
Jag har chalkat alla kanter och klistrat på spets runt kanten, både på kanten och på locket. Tanken är att det ska likna spritsad grädde.

I'm a real sweet tooth, although I deny it to myself ... So I was just had to make a piece of cake!

The template I used you can get at Reprint, but I've made the cover differently. The advantage of this cap is that you can decorate it any way you want.
I distressed all the edges and glued on lace around the edge, both on the edge and on the lid. The idea is that it should resemble piped cream.

Och på toppen måste man ju bara ha den där rosa marsipanrosen!

And on top I just had to have that pink marzipan rose!

Asken är väldigt användbar till t.ex. en liten födelsedagspresent...

The box is very useful for example a little birthday present ...

A tiny heart box

This is a very tiny heart box.
I put paper from graphic 45 around the box and at the top.
Around the top I put lace, and on the top more lace. 

I decorated with rhinestones and roses. 

I colored everything with some white gesso and white crackle paint
to get the shabby chic look.

Till en god vän som är mitt i renovering och flytt, vad passar då bättre än att ta en liten paus och fylla på energin med en liten bit choklad?

This was for a dear friend, in the middle of renovation and moving to a new place. What a nice break in the middle of all the hard work, enjoying a piece of nice chocolate!

En förvandlad After Eight ask ... gaveln avslöjar innehållet.

A tranformed box of After Eights ... the open end gives it away.

Cardstock, mönsterpapper och spets som "omslag" och sedan enkelt dekorerat med en urklippt tag, blommor, band och en charm. Med en "lycka till" stämpel på tagen är presenten komplett!

Cardstock, design paper and lace makes up the cover for the box. Simply decorated with a cut out tag, flowers, ribbon and a metal charm. A"good luck" sentiment stamp and the little gift is ready to go!

Såklart, lite stickles på blommorna får vi ju inte glömma ... ;)

And of course, let's not forget some stickles on the flowers ... ;)
