Vad gör du när du har en massa småbitar kvar av dina mönstrade papper? Ett fiffigt sätt är att göra ett lapptäckskort av dom! För att lättare se hur det skulle se ut, ritade jag först upp en mall med måtten på alla mina rutor. Sen skar jag ut lämpliga bitar och kunde plocka om lite tills jag var nöjd. Därefter limmade jag fast dom på kortbasens framsida. Jag har dessutom i min ägo en gammal symaskin som lever sitt eget liv när man syr med den. Sömmarna kan bli lite knasiga - inte så värst kul när man syr gardiner eller kläder - men till scrapbooking och kort blir det bara charmigt! Så fram med symaskinen och sy fast hela härligheten!
Patch to patch and a lot of sewing!
What do you do when you have loads of pieces of patterned papers? One clever way is making quilt cards! To make the process easier I started with making a sketch for all the little pieces with all the measures on it. Then I cut pieces and could rearrange them until I was satisfied. Then I glued the pieces onto the front of my card base. I happen to have an old sewing machine that seems to have a life of it´s own. The stitches can go all haywire - which is NOT fun when you´re sewing curtains or clothes. But for scrapbooking and cards it just gets charming! So I took it out to play and sewed all the little glorious pieces together on the card!

Som ni ser på bilderna ovan har jag "fodrat" insidan av kortet för att inte stygnen ska synas + att det blir en trevlig effekt i kortet.
Efter makens inrådan har jag valt att hålla korten mer grafiska utan nåt "lullull" för att designen ska framgå mera.
Så spara dina spillbitar! Du vet aldrig när de kan komma till användning!
As you can see on the photos I chose to "line" the cards on the inside so that the stiching doesn´t show + it´s a nice effect.
After guidance from my husband I chose to keep the card more graphic without any ellies to make the design shine.
So save your scrap pieces! You never know when you get use of them!
