Tag mini album for Christmas

Vi har ju en fantastiskt somrig septembermånad så här långt, och till och med jag som älskar december och alla julförberedelser har en smula svårt att hitta den rätta julstämningen ... men jag lyckades i alla fall komponera ett litet minialbum av fyra tags och Reprints fina nya julpapper!

September is gorgeous and it still feels like summer, so the Christmas spirit is perhaps somewhat hard to find. Anyway, I managed to put together a mini album using four tags and the new Christmas papers from Reprint's own collection.

 

Allra först drog jag ut ett tunt lager av gesso på tagsen, inte heltäckande utan lite här och där. När det hade torkat så fäste jag bitar av designpapper med hjälp av multi medium - både som klister under pappret men även över som "sealer". Därefter var det bara att gå loss med färgstänk och dekorationer!

First, I added a random layer of gesso to the tags, just a thin coat. After that dried, I collaged pieces of the design paper using multi medium - both as a glue but also on the top as a sealer. After that it was ready to go crazy with decorations and paint!
 

 

Stjärnan är en chipboardfigur som är täckt med designpapper och sen lite All-purpose ink längs kanterna. Tagsen sitter fast i varandra med washitejp. Även här har jag använt multi medium för att förstärka tejpen, eftersom washitejp egentligen inte är gjord för att fästa permanent.

The star is a chipboard covered with design paper and then I added some All-purpose ink to the edges. The tags are attached to each other using washi tape. I used multi medium also here, since the washi tape is not made for permanent adhesion.

Jag har använt Staz-on för att stämpla snöflingor och swirls, eftersom multi mediumet gör att ytan är ganska glatt.

I used Staz-on to stamp the snow flakes and swirls, since the surface is quite glossy with the multi medium.

Texten stämplade jag på ett vitt cardstock och skar ut, ena versen i sen helhet och den andra i små remsor som jag placerat ut på de olika sidorna.

The text was first stamped on a white cardstock, and then cut out. One paragraph was kept together, the other one cut in strips, to be used separately on the tags.

Visst är det söta rådjuret alldeles bedårande! Färgstänken är gjorda med en pensel och All-purpose ink.

Isn't that reindeer simply the cutest! The paint splatters are made with a brush and All-purpose inks.
