Bokstäver i MDF

Det där med väggord och citat är ju väldigt populärt, så jag har valt att dekorera första bokstaven i mina barns namn. Jag såg sen att de tillsammans bildar ordet "me", och de är ju en stor del av mig... =)
Jag började med att måla dem med gesso och klä dem med mönstrat papper. Kanterna är såklart chalkade och sedan täcktes ytan med ett tunt lager krackeleringslack.

The thing with wall words and quotes is very popular, so I've chosen to decorate the first letter of my children's names. I then realized that together they form the word "me," and they're a big part of me ... =)
I started by painting them with gesso and dress them with patterned paper. The edges are distressed, of course, and then the surface were covered with a thin layer of Crackle paint.

När lacken torkat drog jag med en stämpeldyna på för att framhäva sprickorna lite bättre. Jag hängde på ett litet metallhänge också. Bandet färgades in till önskad färg med hjälp av Distress Stain.

When the paint had dried, I distressed with a inkpad on to the surface to highlight the cracks a little better. I hung on a small metal pendant too. The ribbon were stained to the desired color using Distress Stain.

Vimpeln gjorde jag av en bit cardstock som jag sedan klippte i ändarna och vek.

The pennant with the name, I made of a piece of cardstock which I then cut the ends and folded.

Stjärnglans

Här har jag använt ett - för mig - favoritpapper ur Reprints vårkollektion. Bakgrunden består av två sidor av samma papper. För att dölja skarven, har jag satt ett satinband i matchande färg. 

I've used a - for me - favorite paper from Reprints spring collection. The background consists of two sides of the same paper. To hide the joint, I put a satin ribbon in a matching color. 

För att rosetten ska bli bra är den gjord för sig och sedan ditsatt.

For the bow to be good, it is made separately and then mounted.

Stjärnan har jag stansat ut ur ett papper ur Reprints Basic Collection A4. Det lila pappret tyckte jag var lite för skarpt till detta, så jag färgade in det med Distress Stain Wethered Wood. När den torkat strök jag på krackeleringlack, och när DEN torkat drog jag med Distress Stain Dusty Concord för att få sprickorna att framträda tydligare.
För att rama in stjärnan lite stansade jag ut en lite större stjärna i cardstock, samt satte den på 3D-kuddar för att få den att sticka ut.

The star, I punched out of a sheet of A4 Reprint Basic Collection. The purple paper I thought was a bit too sharp for this, so I colored it with Distress Stain Wethered Wood. When it dried I put on crackle varnish, and when dry, I stroked the surface with Distress Stain Dusty Concord for cracks to appear more pronounced.
In order to frame the star, I punched out a little bigger star in cardstock, and placed it on 3D foam pads to get it to stand out.

Spool of thread/Trådrulle

Jag har använt en gammal trådrulle i trä, större
variant och dekorerat med papper från Reprint.
Löven är en stämpel som jag klippt ut
och målat med de nya distresspennorna.
En rosett i samma spets som runt rullen.

I´ve used an old spool of thread, a bigger one of tree, and decorated with
papers from Reprint. The leafs are a stamp as I have cut out and painted
with the new distress markers. A bow in same lace as around the spool.

Några pearls fick dekorera baksidan av rullen.
