Circles

Ibland behöver man tänka utanför sin box. Och det resulterade i cirklar! Jag har använt tre olika storlekar av cirklar som jag stansat ut ur tre olika papper. Kanterna på cirklarna har färgats in med en mörkt grå dyna, vilket gör att de får en mer markerad kant. Sedan är det bara att flytta runt dem tills man blir nöjd och klistra fast alltihop.
Mittendelen av den största cirkeln blev bakgrunden till texten och utgör basen på kortet.

Sometimes you need to think outside the box. And it resulted in circles! I have used three different sizes of circles that I punched out of the three different papers. The edges of the circles has been colored with a dark gray stamp pad, which gives them a more pronounced edge. Then, just move them around until you are satisfied and glue everything together.
The middle part of the largest circle became the background to the text and forms the base of the card.

Maskning

Förra helgen hade jag förmånen att få delta på Reprints roliga återförsäljarträff för säsongen och inspirera deltagarna med några små enkla alster. Julen kanske känns avlägsen just nu, men en dag vaknar du på morgonen och inser att "idag-är-sista-dagen-att-posta-mina-julkort"-dagen! Det händer mig varje år...

Last weekend I had the privilege to participate in Reprints reseller's gathering for the season and inspire participants with a few simple creations. Christmas may seem distant now, but one day you wake up in the morning and realize that "today-is-last-day-to-post-my-Christmas" date! It happens to me every year ...

Jag har använt mig av en teknik som kallas maskering eller maskning. Man börjar med att stämpla det objektet som du vill ska se ut att hamna längst fram, i detta fall den vänstra granen. Stämpla sedan en likadan gran på ett kopieringspapper och klipp ut. När du sen ska stämpla nästa gran bredvid (den mörklila granen) lägger du den urklippta granen över den som du redan stämplat på kortet. Då skyddas den första granen av nästa stämpeltryck och du får illusionen av att de står bakom varann.

I have used a technique called masking. You start by stamping the object you want to look like that end up at the front, in this case the left-hand tree. Stamp then an identical tree on a copy paper and cut out. When you then will stamp the next tree beside (the dark purple tree), put the cut-out tree over the one you already stamped on the card. This protects the first tree of the next stamp print and you get the illusion that they are behind each other.

Som fortsättning på förra veckans projekt, så kommer här ett exempel till på hur man kan variera ett stämpelmotiv.
Detta är en stämpel som funnits länge, men den är alltid lika aktuell. Jag kan inte ens räkna hur många gånger jag använt den här blomman.

As a continuation of last week's project, here is another example of how you can vary a stamp motif.

Återanvändning

Jag tycker att det är så kul att återanvända förpackningar, så här kommer en till. I denna ask har det legat småsaker från Tim Holtz, jag tror att det kan ha varit Washers eller brads...
Här har jag använt baksidan på ett av Reprints papper, stämplat och embossat hörnen och tryckt dit en grattishälsning.

Here I have used the back of one of Reprints papers, stamped and embossed corners and then stamped a congratulation greeting.

I "bubblorna" har jag satt dit 3D-stickers vilket gör att de poppar ut ännu mer. En snygg effekt tycker jag.

In the "bubbles" I glued some 3D stickers which make them pop out even more. A nice effect, I think.

Vårens färger

Våren är här, hur fantastiskt det är!! Och inte har jag suttit inne en sån här dag, men ett kort fick jag gjort...
Jag har använt papper ur Reprints helt underbara Basic Collection, de går att kombinera i all oändlighet. Prickigt i grönt, gult och lila passar en sån här härlig vårdag.

Spring is here, how amazing it is! And I have not been inside a day like this, but I made one card...
I have used paper from Reprints absolutely gorgeous Basic Collection, they can be combined endlessly. Dots in green, yellow and purple fits perfectly a beautiful spring day like this.

Stämpeln med ormbunksbladet på är en av mina favoriter! Några blommor och en text så är kortet klart!

Tuff burk

Det är extremt sällan man gör nånting utan att använda blommor eller blad, det blir ju så fint så enkelt. Så jag ville utmana mig själv och göra ett projekt utan att använda blommor eller blad - detta är resultatet.
Jag tog en pepparkaksburk som jag sandpapprade kanterna på och klädde in den med ett av Reprints läckra papper. Lite Gezzo och All Purpous Ink lite här och där över pappret ger pappret en till dimension.

It is extremely rare to do something without using flowers or leaves, it becomes so nice that simple. So I wanted to challenge myself and do a project without using blossom or leaves - this is the result.
I used an old gingerbread tin witch I sanded and glued one of Reprints delicious paper on. A touch of Gezzo and All Purpous Ink here and there over the paper gives the paper to a dimension.
 

Burken pryddes av en chipboard-stjärna som embossades med Platinum embosspulver, två tuffa metalldekorationer och en ram i metall från Reprint som jag tyvärr inte tror finns kvar... I hörnen på ramen sitter små blingstenar.

The tin was embellished with a chipboard star that was covered with Platinum embossing powder, two tough metal charms and a metal frame from Reprint, that unfortunately I do not believe they have left... In the corners of the frame are small rhinestones.

Längs kanten på locket och botten sitter det border från Tim Holtz fantastiska sortiment, mums!

Recept-swap

Att göra recept-swappar tycker jag är ett roligt sätt att byta recept, men också inspiration! Och det behöver inte vara så avancerade kort.
Du delar ett 12" ark i fyra delar och gör fyra likadana receptkort. Sedan ger du bort tre av dem, en behåller du själv. De som fått dina kort gör i sin tur likadant, ett till dig, ett behåller dem själva. Man kan vara en "sluten grupp" där alla byter med varann, man kan vara hur många som helst. Så länge du behåller ett själv och ger ett tillbaka till den du fick av.
Eller så gör du som jag, ger bort ett favoritrecept bara för att det är så roligt att göra swappar!

Making recipe swaps is a fun way to swap recipes, but also inspiration! And it doesn´t have to be so advanced.
You cut a 12" sheet into quarters and make four identical recipes. Then you give away three of them, one you keep for yourself. Those who receive your card makes the same, one for you, one for keeping to themselves. You can do as many as you like, as long as you keep one for yourself and give one back to the person that gave you one in the first place .
Or do like me, give away a favorite recipe just because it's so fun to do swaps!

Själv är jag väldigt förtjust i allt med choklad, så varför inte ha ett chokladtema? Jag har bl.a. använt ett par nya papper ur Basic Collection - supersnygga!

I myself am very fond of anything with chocolate in it, so why not have a chocolate theme? I've used a couple of new papers from the Basic Collection - gorgeous!

Som chokladbollar har jag klippt ut små rundlar i brun cardstock som sedan har blivit dekorerade med vita streck och täckta av lack.

Alla stjärnor blinkar!

Det här pappret tycker jag är alldeles fantastiskt fint! Mörkblå botten med gnistrande stjärnblänk... Det känns riktigt vintrigt! Passar lika bra som ett julkort eller en nyårshälsning.

This paper is absolutely fantastic I think! Dark blue background with sparkling stars ... It feels really wintery! Equally suitable as a Christmas or a New Year greeting.

Mitten på stjärnorna har försetts med lite glitterlim för att förstärka effekten, likaså på snöflingorna.

The center of the stars have been provided with a little glitter glue to enhance the effect, as well as the snowflakes.

Julen i en ask

Ibland får man sådana där bra askar kvar, som bara är ämnade för att altras! Och vad man än har för åsikter om saken, så är det snart jul, och då behöver man ha en fin ask att lägga något litet i.
Här är en ask för tepåsar som jag målat och klätt alla sidor med ett fint mönstrat papper. Först stämplade jag en grankvist på ena sidan, INNAN jag klistrade fast det, och fyllde i motivet med grönt glitterlim.

Sometimes you get those great boxes left which are only meant to be decorated! And whatever your opinion about it is, it's almost Christmas, and then you need to have a nice box to add a little something in.
Here is a box for teabags, which I painted and covered with a nice patterned paper on all sides. First, I stamped a spruce twig on one side, BEFORE I glued it, and filled in the design with green glitter glue.

 

En av bilderna från de nya klipparken fick också pryda framsidan. Jag klistrade den runt kanten för att få en extra effekt. Några röda halvpärlor, lite spets runt kanten på locket och en "God Jul"-stämpel - och så var den färdig!

One of the images from the new cut-out papers also adorn the front. I glued it around the edge to get an extra effect. Some red half pearls, some lace around the edge of the lid and a "Merry Christmas" stamp - and then it was finished!

Änglar - finns de?

Ja, i alla fall hos Reprint... ;) Här har jag gått utanför min "comfort zone", och gjort en ängel. Det är en kollagestämpel som jag satt vingar på. Papperna är en härlig djup blå färg ur den nya kollektionen A4 papper.

Angels - do they exist? Yes, you can find them at Reprint ... ;) Here I've gone outside my "comfort zone" and made ​​an angel. It is a collage stamp that I put wings on. The papers are a lovely deep blue color from the new collection A4 paper.

Vingarna är av chipboard som infärgats av Distress Stain silver. Delar av stämpelmotivet är förstärkt med silverfärg för att få lite mer lyster.

Årets första julkort

Som ni säkert förstått gillar jag att göra enkla kort med raka linjer, och detta är inget undantag. Här jag jag använt två olika mönstrade papper och enfärgad cardstock.

As you might have guessed, I like to make simple cards with straight lines, and this is no exception. Here I have used two different patterned paper and some cardstock.

En liten metallcharm finns med, likaså en supersnygg stämpel i form av ett stjärnsigill skulle man nästan kunna säga. Granen har fått glittriga små prickar på sig med hjälp av Sticklers. Ett spetsband löper också rakt över hela kortet.
Alla kanter är såklart chalkade för att få en snygg finish.

A small metal charm is included, as is a super stylish stamp in the shape of a star seal could one almost say. The Christmas tree has some sparkly little dots using Sticklers. A lace ribbon also runs straight across the card.
All edges are of course inked to get a nice finish.

Liten box

Jag har gjort det väldigt enkelt för mig denna gången. Jag har tagit en ask som jag hade hemma och altrat den. Jag började med att måla kanterna med vit gesso. Sen skar jag till mönstrat papper och klistrade det på alla sidor inklusive locket.

I have made it very easy for me this time. I had a box at home that I decorated. I started by painting the edges with white acrylic paint. Then I cut the patterned paper and pasted it on all pages including the lid.

Sen har jag stämplat med två olika stämplar, en grattisstämpel i form av en stjärna på locket och ett kugghjul runt om på sidorna.

Then I stamped with two stamps, a congratulations stamp in the shape of a star on the lid and a gear around the sides.

Därefter tog jag snören i matchande färger och knöt runt asken. På locket satte jag en blomma med glitterlim på.

Then I took some cords in matching colors and tied around the box. On the lid I put a flower with glitter glue on.

Wall hanging with angels

I took an old ugly Canvas, turned it on,
painted it and got automatically a frame of wood.
And then I started to pick things I wanted on it.

First I used gesso to whiten and smudge every embellishments and papers.
And then I glued everything very hard, so the things don´t fall of.

As you know, I love to use much stuff on my creations,
and here are some roses, a metal charm, chipboard, 3 needles,
flowers and a lovely text. In the background there is a small piece
of brown canvas with white crackle paint. 

The three stars have I put washitape on, and crackle paint.
A canvas butterfly, lace and rose ribbon. 

Flat flowers with lots of crackle paint, and roses in the middle.
Two prismas with beige floss around the top. Pearl floss hanging
from the flowers. I paint every rose petals with crackle paint.

Spara till resan!

Jag har gjort en burk att spara semesterpengar i, något som hela familjen kan vara delaktiga i. Det blir en kul grej att se hur mycket pengarna växer i burken.

I made a jar to save holiday money, something the whole family can be involved in. It will be a fun thing to see how much money grows in the can.

 

Jag har använt de fina canvasblommorna och så har jag klistrat fast sand som en extra detalj för att förstärka känslan av strand. Bokstäverna har jag skurit ut för hand, men man kan lika gärna stansa ut dem om man har den möjligheten.

I have used the nice burlap flowers and then I glued sand as an added detail to enhance the feeling of the beach. The letters I cut out by hand, but you might as well punch them out if you have the opportunity.

 

Lite glitterlim förhöjer och ger en känsla av glänsande vatten. Det mönstrade pappret passade utmärkt och jag valde den bit med text som stämde bra in med temat.

Some glitter glue enhances and gives a sense of shining water. The patterned paper was perfect and I chose the piece with text that matched well with the theme.

På locket stämplade jag med en stämpel som innehöll ordet Journey och förstärkte det med glitterlim. Alla kanter har jag chalkat med Pinecone, såklart!

On top of the lid I stamped with a stamp that contained the word Journey, and reinforced it with glitter glue. All edges I've chalked with Pinecone, of course!
