Christmas stockings are a great way to share some joy on St. Nicolas's Day. I created these stocking tags using some of my favorite Reprint papers...

... and they are already hanging on our cupboard. Wishing you all a jolly christmastime.

Pastel Christmas

Hallo zusammen,

als ich noch jünger war waren unsere Weihnachtskarten immer in rot, weiß und grün. Mit dem älter werden habe ich immer mehr angefangen mit Farben zu experimentieren und bin mittlerweile sehr offen für die verschiedensten Farbkombinationen. Hast du schon bemerkt, dass Weihnachten bereits in 8 Wochen ist? Höchste Zeit also um endlich mit dem basteln zu beginnen...

Ich habe einige meiner liebsten Reprint Papiere in pastell gewählt und diese mit einem dunklen anthrazit kombiniert.

Der Stempel nennt sich "christmas wishes" und ich finde ihn sehr schön.

Ich hoffe die Karte gefällt dir und hoffe du verrätst uns, welches deine Farbkombinationen zu Weihnachten sind...


Good afternoon everyone,

when I was younger our christmas cards always used to be in red, white and green. Growing older I started to experiment with colors and am really open to new colors combinations these days. Did you notice that christmas is going to be in 8 weeks? About time to start crafting...

I picked some of my favorite Reprint papers in pastel and combined it with a dark anthracite.

The stamp is called "christmas wishes" and I like it a lot.

Christmas ornament

December är en intensiv månad för många, och det kan vara svårt att få tid över för sånt man verkligen vill göra. Men när man väl får till det så inser man hur roligt det är och att det faktiskt ger en energi!
Här är en liten pendyl (eller ask om man låter bli att limma en flik) i ett av Reprints papperskollektioner. Jag hittade två matchande band som jag gjorde en stor rosett av runt upphängningssnöret.

December is a busy month for many, and it can be difficult to find time for the things you really want to do. But once you get into it you realize how fun it is and that it actually provides energy!
Here is a small ornament (or a box if you avoid to glue a tab) in of Reprints paper collections. I found two matching ribbons that I made a big bow with around the hanging rope.

Snöflingan i metall passade bra att hänga på. Det blir mer intressant med fler material tycker jag. Denna prydnad är fin att hänga i fönstret, flera i grupp eller kanske i granen som en modern smällkaramell... Vad tycker du?

The snowflake metal charm fitted well to hang on. I think it gets more interesting with other materials. This ornament is nice to hang in the window, several in a group or maybe in the Christmas tree as a modern cracker... What do You think?

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Nu i juletider är det självklart att vi vill inspirera med Reprints julpapper och julstämplar så här kommer ett julkort från mig:

Since it´s Christmas season we wanna inspire you with using the Christmas papers and stamps from Reprint.  So here´s a Christmas card from me:

Framsidan:/Front:

Jag stansade ut ett stjärnhål i min kortbas och chalkade kanterna. Därefter monterade jag det mönstrade pappret bakom så att det kikade fram. 

I made a star shaped hole in my card using a die cut and used chalk around the edges. Then I mounted the patterned paper on the inside of the card making it peeking out through the star.

Insidan klädde jag med baksidan på det mönstrade pappret. Jag stämplade den fina jultexten på vit cardstock som jag sedan stansade ut med en metalldie.

I covered the inside of the card with the back of the patterned paper. I stamped the wonderful Christmas quote on white cardstock which I cut out with another metallic die.

That feeling ...

Nu är det november och därmed nästan OK att börja med julförberedelser! Jag har i alla fall smygit igång med ett julkort, lockelsen blev helt enkelt för stor med de nya pappren och stämplarna från Reprint liggandes på pysselbordet :)

November is here and that makes it almost OK to start with the Christmas preparations. Which is a good thing, as I just couldn't resist creating with the new Christmas papers and stamps from Reprint. The first card is done! :)

Textstämpeln är egentligen en hel platta (supersnygg precis som den är!) men jag ville använda bara en del av den på detta kort så med hjälp av skärmaskinen delade jag på raderna. Lite stickles på motivet på pappret ger precis så där lagom gammeldags stämning.

The text stamp is really one block of text (very pretty exactly as it is!) but for this card I wanted to use only part of the text, so I stamped the whole thing and cut each row into strips. A little stickles on the sweet snowman gives the perfect vintage feel.

Jag är tillbaka!

Nu var det väldigt länge sedan jag bloggade som DT för Reprint men nu är jag tillbaka och det känns jättekul!
It´s been a very long time since I was on the creative team for Reprint. But now I´m back and it feels so good!

Julen har ju passerat, men jag tänker ändå visa upp ett nygjort julkort. Jag har insett att när julen väl kommer är det så mycket som lockar på uppmärksamheten så det är bra att ha ett litet lager att ta av när det är dags!
Christmas has passed but I´m gonna show you a Christmas card anyway that I just made. I´ve realized that when it´s finally Christmas there so many things that´s stealing the attention so it´s nice to have a little stash to fall back on.

Geschenke mit einer persönlichen Note sind einfach klasse zur Weihnachtszeit. Falls du aktuell noch auf der Suche nach einem kleinen Mitbringsel bist, lass' mich dir zeigen wie du ein hübsches weihnachtliches Schild werkeln kannst.

Du benötigst:
- Tafel oder Bilderrahmen (bevorzugst aus Holz)
- Kreide- oder Lack-Stifte (alternativ Computer mit Drucker)
- Band oder Kordel
- Banner-Stempel von Reprint

Gifts with a personal touch are great for christmas. In case you're still looking for a little give-away, let me show you how this pretty christmas sign is done.

You'll need:
- blackboard or picture frame (wooden ones prefered)
- chalk or paint pens (or computer with printer)
- cord or ribbon
- pennant stamp from Reprint

1. Beschrifte die Tafel mit deinem Wunschtext. Ich habe mich passend zur Jahreszeit für einen weihnachtlichen Text entschieden, aber tendenziell ist dieses Projekt auch für andere Anlässe (z.B. Geburt) geeignet. Wer keine Tafel hat, schneidet sich ein dunkles Papier in der Größe des Bilderrahmens aus und beschriftet dies.

1. Labeled the board with your personal text . I have chosen my text according to the season, but please keep in mind this project is also suitable for other occasions (eg birth). If you don't have a blackboard, use dark paper in the size of the photo frame for the background and labeled it.

2. Befestigt eine Kordel oder ein Band an eurer Tafel, damit ihr sie aufhängen könnt.

2. Attached a cord or ribbon to your blackboard, in case you want to hang it.

3. Um die Tafel etwas weihnachtlich zu dekorieren, habe ich mich für diesen hübschen Stempel von Reprint entschieden - mehrfach gestempelt, coloriert, ausgeschnitten, aufgeklebt, fertig.

3. I've decited to go for this great pennant stamp by Reprint as it gives the project such a great christmas look - repeatedly stamped, colored, cut, glued, finished.

4. Wer mag, kann zusätzlich noch einzelne Elemente durch paper piercing, 3D Klebepads und etwas Glitzer hervorheben.

4. If you like to give your sign a nice 3D effect, additionally add some paper piercing and raise these elements of the pennant with 3D pads and highlight with some glitter.

Zuerst möchte ich heute einmal unsrer lieben Ulrika danken, dass sie die Sprachauswahl in diesem blog von schwedisch auf englisch geändert hat und es für uns viel einfacher ist zu verstehen welche Knöpfe wir drücken sollten - und welche besser nicht. Danke, Ulrika!

First of all I want to thank our lovely Ulrika today for changing the language in this blog from swedish to english. This makes it so much easier for us to figure out which buttons we should push and which ones we should rather keep our hands - or mouse - off. Thank you, Ulrika!

Wir sind morgen zu einer Feier eingeladen und wollten ein Geschenk für die Gastgeber besorgen. Gar nicht so einfach, wo doch die Geschäfte momentan voll mit Weihnachtsdekoration sind und irgendwie erinnert mich mein Bankkonto immer ganz leise daran die Ruhe zu bewahren, wenn ich spontane Geschenkideen für Freunde habe. Am Ende haben wir ganz "klassisch" Spirituosen für ihn und etwas Schoki und Make-up für sie gekauft.

We're invited to a party tomorrow and needed a gift for the hosts. Not THAT easy keeping in mind that the stores in town are packed with christmas decoration these days and somehow my bank account always quietly reminds me to calm down whenever I start feeling spontaneous when it comes to gifts for friends. We ended up getting "classic" licquor for him and some chocolate and make-up for her.

Während ich mir Gedanken gemacht habe, wie man das Geschenk schön verpacken könnte, stolperte ich über meine liebsten Bastelschätze von Reprint and habe Geschenkanhänger gebastelt. Zuerst dachte ich an rosa/rot für die Dame und blau/grün für den Herrn, aber die blaue Version hat mir dann einfach besser gefallen und so bekommen nun beide die gleichen Anhänger.

Thinking about how to wrap the gifts, I stopped by my favorite crafting items from Reprint and created some gift tags. At first I was thinking of rose/red for the lady and blue/green for the gentleman, but ended up liking the blue version better. So bought will get the same tags now.

Ich weiss, dass alle jetzt auf Schleichwerbung für unsere bevorzugte Getränkewahl hoffen... Ich werde die Flasche nicht zeigen, aber vielleicht kommst du ja auch so drauf. Wir haben den schwarzen Partybecher mit einem Rührstab kombiniert und alles in durchsichtiger Folie eingepackt. Noch ein paar Palietten und Schneeflocken drüber streuen - fertig. 

I know that everyone' waiting for surreptitious advertising for our spirit of choice now... I won't show the bottle, but you might be able to find out anyway. We've combined the black party cup with a whisk and wrapped it in transparent film. Scattered a few sequins and snowflakes on top - done.

Hanging stars

Något man kan vika är dessa stjärnor. Den lilla stjärnan är gjord av  4st 10x10cm bitar, den stora av 4st 15x15cm. Det är lite pilligt i början, men sedan flyter det bara på. =)
I mitten av stjärnorna sitter det blommor i passande färg för att gömma hålet som blir. Pärlorna kommer från pins som Reprint har. De har jag "slaktat" och trätt pärlorna på en tråd.

Something you can fold are these stars. The little star is made of 4 pcs 10x10cm pieces, the large of 4st 15x15cm. It´s a little difficult at first, but then you can go with the flow. =)
In the middle of the stars is flowers in a matching color to hide the hole .The beads come from pins in Reprints assortment. I have "butchered" a few and put the beads on a thread.

Alles Liebe zu Weihnachten

Die ersten fünf Tage nach dem Wochenende sind immer am härtesten... Während ich mich also in gute Stimmung für das Wochenende brachte, fiel mir bei einem Blick in den Kalender auf, dass Weihnachten bereits in 5 Wochen ist. Höchste Zeit also, um endlich mit den Weihnachtskarten zu beginnen.

The first five days after a weekend are the hardest... So while getting in a good mood for the weekend I've checked the calender and noticed that christmas is going to be in 5 weeks. Seems like it is about time to get started with the christmas cards.

Wenn ich Karten gestalten, notiere ich mir gerne die jeweiligen Farbkombinationen. So ist es einfacher diese für zukünftige Projekte wieder zu nutzen. Ist dir eigentlich schon aufgefallen, dass das neue Reprint Papier farblich perfekt zu den Distress Markern von Tim Holtz passt? Meine Kombination für diese Karte ist aged mahogany, fired brick und black soot.

When I create cards I like to keep a record of the colors I used – that way it is easier to keep track of my color choices for future use. Have you noticed that the new Reprint papers are a perfect match with the Distress Markers by Tim Holtz? My combination is aged mahogany, fired brick und black soot.

Die Basis ist Cardstock in dunkel rot, welches ich mit dem weihnachtlichen Papier Red Rhombs (RP0162) aus der Merry & Bright Kollektion kombiniert habe. Die Sterne sind aus goldenem Glitterpapier und mit 3D-Pads auf den Bändern befestigt und natürlich durften auch ein paar passenden Halbperlen nicht fehlen um das Bild abzurunden. Den wunderschönen Schriftzug nennt sich "OM780 E Alles libe zu" und du kannst alle Sachen - auch die Distress Marker - direkt über den Reprint Webshop beziehen.. Wie bereits erwähnt ist meine Kombination aged mahogany, fired brick und black soot.

The base is cardstock in dark red which I’ve combined him with the christmas paper Red Rhombs ( RP0162 ) from the Merry & Bright collection. The stars are made of golden glitter paper and fixed with 3D pads on top of the ribbons. I’ve also added a couple of matching pearls in order to complete the picture.The beautiful lettering is called “OM780 E Alles libe zu” and you can get all these great items as well as the Distress Markers at the Reprint webshop. As said before my combination is aged mahogany, fired brick and black soot.

Gift bag for Christmas

Julgåvan lägger jag i en enkel påse gjord av ett av Reprints 12 tums ark med julmotiv. Enkelt dekorerad med en etikett som kan återanvändas av mottagaren; den sitter bara fast med en klämma.

The Christmas gift gets a sweet wrapper with this easy-made bag, using one of Reprint's 12 inch papers with Christmas patterns. Clean and simple decoration with a tag that can be re-used by the receiver; it's attached using only a clip.

Närbild på etiketten, jag har embossat texten med ett rött embossingpulver med glitter i, och de fina krusidullerna är stämplade med en vit stämpel så att det ser lite ut som krita på svarta tavlan. Bandet är infärgat med Distress stains.

Close-up of the tag, I embossed the text using a red embossing powder with glitter, and the cute swirls are stamped with a white ink pad to achieve a chalkboard effect. The seam binding ribbon is colored using Distress stains.

Juletiketter

Jag fortsätter på samma enkla tema som förra veckan. Här är tre etiketter som du med fördel kan hänga på julklapparna, glöggflaskan eller varför inte något hemlagat att ge bort.

De fina kiten med 6x6" pappren har legat till grund för veckans projekt, de är så himla användbara och snygga! De enda extra detaljerna är ett band, en blomma och lite chalks på kanterna. Och så julstämplarna såklart!

I continue on the same basic theme as last week. Here are three labels that you can hang on the Christmas presents, a wine bottle or perhaps something homemade to give away.

The lovely sets with 6x6" papers are the base for this week's project, they are so amazingly useful and stylish! The only extra details is a ribbon, a flower and some chalks on the edges. And of course the Christmas greetings!

När man gör etiketterna dubbla finns det plats att skriva en vers inuti också, om man vill...

When you make folded labels, there is space to write a verse inside too, if you want...

Klassiskt hjärta

Detta är ett hjärta som man har gjort i många många år, då gärna av glanspapper i rött och vitt. Hjärtat fylls sen med godis och hängs upp i granen.
Här är hjärtat gjort i ett av Reprints nya härliga 12x12" papper. Som dekoration har en av de nya julstämplarna använts, svagt färglagd av Distress ink.

This is a heart that has been done for many many years, preferably in red and white glossy paper. The heart was filled with candy and hung on the Christmas tree.
My heart is made of one of Reprints new wonderful 12x12 "paper. The decoration is one of the new Christmas stamps faintly colored by the Distress Ink.

Vingarna på ängeln är täckta med Stardust glitterlim för en riktigt änglalik känsla... =)

The wings of the angel are covered with Stardust glitter glue for a truly angelic feeling... =)

Christmas ornament in a box

Nu har leveransen kommit! Pinfärska julpapper och stämplar från Reprint, den ena mer ljuvlig än den andra. Här kommer en liten ask som jag bara var tvungen att vika ihop av ett par av de små pappren (6x6 tum). Med hjälp av ett band så förvandlas asken till en julgransprydnad!

The delivery has arrived! Fresh from the print, the new seasonal papers and stamps from Reprint - each and everyone of them are absolutely delightful. Here's a small box I just had to fold, trying out a couple of the papers from the small paper pads (6x6 inches). Adding a ribbon makes into a Christmas tree ornament!

Jag använde min Top Score Multiboard för att snabbt vika asken och valde olika papper till ask och lock. Kanterna färgades in försiktigt med Distress ink och en Blending tool. På varje sida fäste jag en "biljett" som matchade pappret, från ett av de stora klipparken.

I used my Top Score Multiboard to quicky fold the box. I chose different patterns for the box and lid, and inked the edges ever so lightly when it was folded. I added a ticket on each side, from one of the large cut-out sheets.

Som dekoration använde jag en av de nya stämplarna och krympplast. Här måste man använda en stämpeldyna som fäster på glatta underlag. Jag använde Staz-on. Dagens tips: Se till att göra hål i plasten innan du krymper den! :)

I used one of the new stamps for the decoration, stamping it on shrink plastic and watch it magically become this sweet little charm. I used Staz-on since you need an ink pad for glossy surfaces. Here's my tip of the day: make sure you punch that hole in the plastic before it shrinks :)

Jag gjorde hål rakt i både lock och botten på asken och drog ett organizaband rakt igenom. På undersidan färsta jag varsitt hänge i varje band, en plastprisma och en metallcharm i form av en ängel.

I made a small hole in both lid and box, and pulled a piece of organza right through it. Under the box, I tied an acrylic prism and a small metal charm to each piece of ribbon.

Shiny flakes

På dagens kort står den vackra snöflingestämpeln i centrum. Först skapade jag en "ombre"-inspirerad bakgrund på ett akvarellpapper med hjälp av en distressdyna och en vattenpensel. När bakgrunden var helt torr så stämplade jag snöflingan i ett mönster och täckte varje snöflinga med clear embossingpulver allteftersom (innan färgen hann torka).

This beautiful snowflake stamp is the center of attention on today's card. I started with a watercolor paper and created this "ombre" style background using nothing but a distress ink pad and a water brush. When the background was completely dry, I stamped a pattern using the snowflake stamp, and added clear embossing powder to each snowflake as I went along, making sure the ink didn't dry in between.

Om man lutar lite på kortet så ser man hur härligt glansiga snöflingorna är. Enkel teknik och rätt läckert, inte sant?

Tilt the card every so slightly and you can see how shiny the snowflakes are. Simple technique and pretty cool, right?

Nu drar det snart ihop sig till julkorten ska vara postade för att hinna fram i tid. Och med dekorativa stämpelmotiv går det snabbt. Denna kollagestämpel gör hela kortet. Motivet har klippts ur och fått en ram runt och 3D-kuddar får det att "poppa" ut lite extra.

Soon it´s time to mail the Christmas cards in order to arrive on time. And with decorative stamp motif it is quickly done. This collage stamp makes the whole card. The design has been cut out and got a frame and 3D foam pads to make it "pop" out a little extra.

Lite glitterlim på snöflingorna räcker för att få kortat att gnistra lite.

Some glitter glue on the snowflakes are enough to get the card to sparkle a little.

Angelic Christmas tags

Nu börjar jakten på den perfekta klappen, och självklart ska den slås in vackert och få en fin etikett. Här har jag gjort fyra tags som kommer att pryda några av årets julklappar.

It's time to start looking for that perfect Christmas gift, and when you find it you will for sure wrap it in pretty papers and it should also probably have a nace gift tag. Here are four tags that I will add to my Christmas presents this year.

Själva tagsen är tillskurna av kraft cardstock, och slarvigt målade med gesso för en vintrig look. Bilderna är från ett klippark, även dessa fick lite gesso längs kanterna.

The tags are cut from kraft cardstock, and painted randomly with white gesso for a snowy look. The images are from a cut-out sheet, and these also got some gesso along the edges.

Jag stämplade med Staz-on innan jag fäste bilderna med dubbelhäftande tejp. Några remsor washi tape blir fint som dekoration.

I stamped using Staz-on before I attached the images using double-sided tape. A few strips of washi tape makes a nice addition.

Stjärnorna är från Tim Holtz, infärgade med alcohol inks.

Baksidan är också stämplad, men har även plats för ett rim eller en hälsning.

Even the back of the tags got a few stamps, but there's also room for a greeting.
